Hello, fellow travel lovers!
This time, I set my sights on Jufuku-ji Temple, a historical site in Kamakura. But when I arrived—surprise!
Once you pass through the gate, a long, peaceful path with a calm atmosphere stretches out before you.
Where’s Jufuku-ji Temple!?
As I walked along the path, I kept looking around, thinking, "Wait, where’s Jufuku-ji Temple?" But it turns out the building was closed.
Looking around, I noticed a few others also glancing around with the same "Jufuku-ji...?" expression. Found my fellow confused explorers! (lol)
Turns out, the main gate I passed through at the start is actually the highlight of the visit—it’s a super important structure that symbolizes Kamakura's history and culture!
It seems that parts of Jufuku-ji Temple are closed to the public, and what you can see are this valuable main gate, the atmospheric path that follows, and the cemetery on the hillside behind it.
Just the gate? I couldn’t hide my surprise at this unexpected turn of events, but hey, it’s still a valuable experience! (Gotta stay positive!)
Summary
If you're visiting Kamakura, Jufuku-ji Temple’s main gate is a must-see! Just don’t forget—it’s only the gate.
With a slight sense of unfinished business, I’m already thinking about where to head next.
