Kotarogafuchi Kotaro Saya

Tochigi

Kotaro Chaya is located within Nikko National Park and is surrounded by rich nature.

It is situated at a scenic spot where you can view the stream of Hoki River. It has a charming atmosphere.

It closes on days with bad weather.

Check Instagram to see if it's open. The photos are cute.

I was worried because it rained hard the day before, but today, it's confirmed that is open!

It seems there might be a wait of up to an hour, so I'll be heading out early.

As you continue down a narrow path that makes you wonder if you're on the right track, a space where you can park your car appears.

Even before opening, there were already about ten cars. We'll line up and wait for it to open.

A pre-opening scene with scattered tatami seating.

A moss-covered dog greets you.

An owl and a flower water basin. The hydrangeas are refreshingly cool.

Here's the menu. What should I eat?

The specialty, handmade grass dumplings, are a must for takeout. They were exquisite.

I tried to take a cool Instagram-style photo, but... it's already half-eaten 😅

A photo taken by my friend before eating! It's a hearty mushroom soba and tokoroten.

You pick up your order at the counter and enjoy it at your favorite seat. There was someone who slipped and fell.

That must hurt! Be careful! Watch your step.

Within an hour of opening, there was already a line forming.

There was a sign asking people to proceed in this direction during busy times, but some cars went the opposite way, causing a major traffic jam.

An open cafe amidst the great outdoors! This extraordinary experience is definitely something to try!
