Hello, fellow travel lovers!
This time, I went to the Sagamihara City Hall Observation Terrace and its restaurant for a little sightseeing experience!
I was excited for a low-cost lunch while enjoying the spectacular view, but... I have to give a slightly critical review here (haha).
A Panoramic View of the City from the Observation Terrace
Let's start with the view. The observation terrace is fantastic! You can get a panoramic view of the Sagamihara cityscape, and on a clear day, you can even see Mount Fuji. It's an incredible location, and the best part? It's free! The peaceful atmosphere allows you to fully enjoy the scenery at your own pace—no complaints here.
Lunch at the Observation Restaurant
The Harusame Set Meal and the City Hall's Signature Pork Curry (Mini)
Today's Healthy Lunch: Fried Horse Mackerel with Tomato Genovese Sauce
I ordered the daily special lunch, but the main dish, fried horse mackerel, was surprisingly tough for a fish and a bit dry from being overcooked. The Harusame set meal had a strong flavor but was lacking in volume.
The rice was a bit dry and crumbly, which was a bit disappointing. However, the miso soup was simple and tasty.
The view gets an A+, but the food is more of a C.
So, if your main focus is enjoying the view and you’re okay with a "well, it's cheap and fills you up" kind of lunch, you might be satisfied. However, if you're particular about your food, you might want to consider other options.
Next time, I’ll definitely look for a place with better food!
The journey continues... Wishing you all a wonderful trip! – TabiJun
