Hello, fellow travel lovers!
This time, I’m introducing Taya Onsen "Yukai Sokai Taya," where I stopped by to wrap up my Kamakura sightseeing trip.
This is a day-use onsen located right next to Taya Cave, complete with free parking! It’s the perfect spot to soothe your sightseeing fatigue.
Recharge with the high-concentration carbonated Kuroyu spring!

The pride of this onsen is its high-concentration carbonated Kuroyu spring, with benefits that can be expected at endless probabilities (⁉).
It’s considered a special kind of hot spring, and once you soak in it, your body warms up thoroughly. With a sauna and cold plunge as well, it was the perfect place to unwind!
A surprising dining area with a footbath!
And surprise! The dining area even has a footbath.
After a thorough warm-up in the onsen, kicking back in a footbath… now that’s luxury at its finest!
The relaxation effect would be doubled, but if I got too toasty, I might just find myself heading back to the bath! (Haha)
So, I decided to pass on the footbath this time!
Sauna Meal Choices: A Lineup of Sure-Fire Deliciousness!
When it comes to onsen, you can’t forget the “sauna meal”! Every order this time was a hit, and each dish warmed the soul after a relaxing soak!
The shop’s top recommendation: Sundubu Set Meal (Spicy! It’ll make you cough, but it’s addictively good!)
Hokkaido Miso Ramen (Delicious! Finished it in one go!)
Liver and Garlic Chive Stir-Fry Set (Impressive portion, guaranteed to fill you up!)
Tempura Seiro Soba (Soba after a bath never disappoints!) Wait… did I seriously forget to take a photo!?
Each dish was perfect for a refreshed body, making for a totally satisfying sauna meal experience!
Revitalized by the Kuroyu carbonated spring! The real treat awaits at home: 🍺
Fully recharged with energy from the Kuroyu carbonated spring!
Feeling fully refreshed in both body and mind, I'm all set. Waiting for me at home… the long-anticipated 🍺 time!
By the way, Kamakura sightseeing involves plenty of hills and stairs. I recommend wearing non-slip, comfortable shoes and giving yourself an early onsen break to reset any tiredness!
The journey continues... Wishing you all a wonderful trip! – TabiJun
