Boso’s Local Sake “Jumangame” & Exquisite Amazake! A Blissful Experience at a Historic Brewery

Gourmet

Hello, fellow travel lovers!

This time, I’m introducing the historic local sake brewery “Jumangame” that I discovered in Boso!
This award-winning sake has earned the Monde Selection Grand Gold Medal for nine consecutive years, proving its exceptional quality. And the "Daiginjo Amazake" I tried in the store was simply exquisite… ✨ It even inspired me to start making amazake at home!

Excitement fills the air at this historic sake brewery!

A majestic, historic sake brewery suddenly appears along the roadside.

From the entrance alone, I could already tell, "This is going to be amazing...!"

Inside, there’s a museum-like corner dedicated to sake, creating an irresistible atmosphere that makes you want to buy everything! 🍶

🥇 9 Consecutive Years of Monde Selection Grand Gold Medal Awards!

"Nine consecutive years" of winning the Grand Gold Medal… This has to be absolutely delicious!

I wasted no time and bought a bottle to enjoy at home.

✅ A fruity aroma spreads beautifully.
✅ Rich and full-bodied, yet incredibly smooth!
✅ A refined taste that makes you want to savor every sip.

This is a must-try for any sake lover!

Exquisite! Amazed by the incredible Daiginjo Amazake.

I had the chance to sample the “Daiginjo Amazake” in the store, and it was simply divine—rich, elegantly sweet, and full of the natural umami of rice. Its smooth and gentle flavor was pure comfort in a cup.

It was so delicious that I couldn’t resist buying it on the spot, thinking, “I have to try making this myself!”

🍵 Trying My Own Homemade Amazake Recipe!

I added plenty of freshly grated ginger, which I picked up at a mini market near the nanohana (rapeseed flower) fields, to my amazake… and it turned out absolutely amazing!
It warms you up from the inside, and the subtle spiciness of the ginger perfectly balances the sweetness of the amazake, making it incredibly smooth and easy to drink!

Moreover, amazake is so nutritious that it’s often called a “drinkable IV drip.”

Diet-friendly
Fatigue recovery
Improves gut health
Whitening effect
Antioxidant properties

And so many other great benefits! ✨

Before I knew it, I was down to the last few sips. I found myself thinking, “I should have bought more…!”—that’s how hooked I am! (LOL)
