Hello, fellow travel lovers!
This time, I took a spring flower trip to the Keisei Rose Garden in Chiba 🌹
I timed my visit perfectly to catch the roses in full bloom!
But first... as always, let's start with a good breakfast (lol).
🥐 A Morning Warm-Up with Freshly Baked Bread
I stopped by Ishigama Bakery Sunbretta, located right next to Keisei Rose Garden.
The scent of freshly baked bread filled the air, and—yep, I did it again—my tray ended up full of bread (oops!).
- Egg Sandwich: Packed with eggs, this one was super satisfying for breakfast.
- Fish Sandwich: A must-buy I had planned for. Simple, but reliably tasty!
- Cream-Filled Koshi-An Bun: Fluffy dough, sweet red bean paste, and cream—it was the gold medal winner of the day!
- Also picked up: Shirasu Cheese Bread, Mentaiko French Bread, square Danish... yeah, I overdid it again (lol).
- And the best part? Free hot coffee! ☕ I enjoyed a relaxing breakfast in the eat-in area, with a lovely view of roses in the background.
🌹 Now, Into the Rose Garden!
But before that... for those wondering "What kind of place is Keisei Rose Garden?”
Here's the garden map I picked up—let me share it with you! ✨
The map includes recommended walking routes, rose fragrance zones, and helpful tips—perfect for first-timers!
With my belly full, I headed into the rose garden—finally!
Here we go—into the garden!
Right after stepping in, I couldn’t help but say, "Wow, they're in full bloom!" R
The garden has gentle slopes throughout, so no matter where you stand, the views are picture-perfect and beautifully layered.
Spotted at Keisei Rose Garden: the stunning “Disneyland Rose” 🌹
Its vivid orange petals gradually take on pink tones as it blooms—a magical transformation.
🎟️ Discount Tickets Are Available
Regular admission is 1,800 yen during rose season, but you can save 100 yen with advance tickets via: Asoview, JAF, Jalan, or Rakuten Travel.
There’s also a senior discount (65+), so be sure to check if you’re eligible!
📸 It's a "Me & Flowers" Photoshoot Paradise
All around the garden, people were holding full-on photoshoots—with Blythe dolls and even folks in elegant rose-themed dresses. Honestly, they were blooming just as much as the flowers (lol).
You can also find lots of Blythe dolls on shopping sites like Amazon.
If you're not familiar, Blythe dolls are collector favorites with oversized eyes and trendy outfits. Some rare models are said to fetch hundreds of thousands of yen—true celebrities in the doll world!
The photographers, too, were giving it their all. Crouching low with pro cameras and long lenses—serious dedication. Even the roses might’ve been intimidated!
Since faces shouldn't be shown without permission, I recreated the stylish dress and hairstyle as an illustration 💕
🍦 Treat Time: Rose Soft-Serve Ice Cream
You can enjoy treats like fluffy shaved ice made with natural Nikko ice (my friend got one!)
and the famous rose soft-serve. The pastel pink soft-serve is super photogenic, and the cute food truck is a bonus 🎀
I got mine at the garden shop—just be careful with the crunchy cone. I nearly poked my gums (lol).
(Warning: photo is mid-bite!)
🎁 Flower Shopping: Souvenirs & Garden Center
The gift shop is full of rose-themed goodies—handkerchiefs, sweets, cosmetics… the kind of stuff that makes you feel more elegant just looking at them (even if only in spirit!).
The rose selection was absolutely amazing!
Then came the final temptation: the garden center.
I gave in and brought home a gorgeous hydrangea called "Deep Purple".
Hold on—not even a rose!? (But it was too pretty to pass up.)
It sounds like a racehorse or a rock band—and it looked strong and stylish enough to earn a spot in my garden.
After two full laps around the garden, I left with a full heart (and full stomach).
Flowers, food, shopping… it was a five-sense paradise.
