Hello, fellow travel lovers!
Arriving at the ropeway station, my next destination was the mountaintop gourmet spot, “Le Pont du Ciel.”
Along the way, there’s a cute little rest stop called “Roop-tei,” but my goal was higher up! 💪

And then… I finally arrived!
Even though I lined up before opening, I missed a seat by just a hair. If only I’d been three groups earlier, I would’ve made it—so close! 😂
So, I had no choice but to wait outside the door, sneaking peeks at the view through the glass.
🍺 Spotted some intriguing “unique-flavor beers”!
While waiting, a poster caught my eye—featuring “Matcha Beer,” “Hōjicha Beer,” and even “Banana Beer”!
In my heart, I screamed, “I have to try this!” but…
Since a hike was still ahead, I held back with tears in my eyes. Good job, me! (lol)
After a 30-minute wait, I was finally shown to my seat!
At last, it was my turn! Before entering the restaurant, I bought a meal ticket—of course, my choice was already decided from the start.
The “Hida Beef Series,” even featured on the TV show *Kaere Monday*! ✨
-
Hida Beef A5 Grade Lean Beef Rice Box
-
Hida Beef A5 Grade Nigiri Sushi
Both were packed with rich beef flavor—absolutely amazing!
Honestly, if it hadn’t been after the miso oden, I probably could’ve added two more plates of sushi 🤣
After the meal, it was off to the observatory!
Above the restaurant, there’s an observatory with a view far more powerful than anything you see through the windows.
The scenery description on the sign matched the actual mountain range so perfectly, it felt like a copy—and I was truly moved!
Gazing at the rolling mountains, I couldn’t help but feel, “The nature of Gifu is truly powerful.”
With both my stomach and heart completely satisfied, it was finally time to head to Gifu Castle! 🏯✨
The journey continues... Wishing you all a wonderful trip! – TabiJun
