A traveler’s oasis! Seibu-Chichibu Ekimae Onsen, Matsuri no Yu ♨

Saitama

Hello, fellow travel lovers!

This time, what was supposed to be a Chichibu Three Shrines pilgrimage turned into a “two-shrine version” because we enjoyed Mitsumine Shrine a little too much — a very Tabi-Jun kind of mishap (lol).

On the way back, we stopped by Seibu-Chichibu Ekimae Onsen, Matsuri no Yu ♨.

It turned out to be a “traveler’s oasis” beyond our expectations!

The souvenir shop was so huge it actually made me laugh

First, we headed straight to the souvenir corner.

This place is seriously impressive! It feels like almost every souvenir from Saitama is gathered here.

I finally picked up Taihei Curry, which I’d been curious about for a while.
As for the taste…

Hmm… it’s worth trying once for the experience, but I probably wouldn’t buy it again!

It had a nice Japanese dashi flavor—more like a curry you’d find at a soba restaurant.

The food court is spacious and super convenient!

Dragging our tired bodies, we headed to the food court.

It was huge—and incredibly convenient!

You buy a meal ticket and wait at your seat. When your number appears on the panel above, you go pick it up.

It’s a fully self-service setup—efficiency level 120%!

This time, I chose the gibier bowl with venison.

So tender! Lean, no gamey smell at all—an incredibly healthy and satisfying bowl.

The joy of heading straight from the food court into the baths.

And this is the biggest highlight.

From the back of the food court, you can go straight into Matsuri no Yu!

This is honestly such a blessing.

After all that walking, we were completely exhausted—but this is where we recharged.

The restorative power of an onsen is no joke (lol).

Recommended for people like this:

• You want a place to stop by on the way back from Chichibu or Mitsumine Shrine.

• You want to buy all your souvenirs in one go.

• You’re hungry and just want to sit down and rest.

• You want to relax and unwind in the baths to end your trip perfectly.

Everything you need is right here!

This time, there are only a few photos.

It was a crowded Sunday during the autumn foliage season, so it was hard to take pictures.

The journey continues... Wishing you all a wonderful trip! – TabiJun
