Hello, fellow travel lovers!
This time, I visited Hachioji Taki-yama Roadside Station.
This roadside station is conveniently located right near the Hachioji IC, making it a perfect stop during a drive.
On a rainy morning, I arrived at Hachioji Taki-yama Roadside Station.
Weekends can get crowded, but since it was a weekday and rainy, it was pretty relaxed. Lucky me!
First, I checked out the fresh vegetables. And guess what? 500 grams of okara for just 60 yen! Okay, not exactly a vegetable, but still! (haha)
And it was still slightly warm! I just have to make something healthy with this! I'm already looking forward to cooking after I get home.
They were also selling sweets that won the Souvenir Grand Prix. How does the Grand Prix winner taste? Of course, I had to get it. I'll add my review after I try it!
Next, I grabbed loads of vegetables and fruits. My excitement just kept growing!
Breakfast made with local ingredients.
And on this day, there was an event with local 'Ogino Pan' selling their goods at the stall. Their anpan is famous, but I couldn’t resist grabbing a few other breads too.
Of course, I bought some bread for breakfast and headed to the eat-in space at the roadside station.
The white fig bread made with wine from Tobuki Ikuseien, sold inside the roadside station, was moist, chewy, and absolutely delicious.
Taking a break... I bought some coffee and took a bite of the bread. Honestly, the coffee was a bit disappointing, but the bread was so good I ended up eating too much (haha).
As usual, I realized I forgot to take a photo after I had already finished eating.
Roadside stations really have that effect, don’t they? You always end up buying more than you planned.
Hachioji Taki-yama Roadside Station had a nice, relaxed vibe on a weekday, which was quite enjoyable.
The journey continues... Wishing you all a wonderful trip! – TabiJun
