Hello, fellow travel lovers!
So this time, I headed to the Hydrangea Festival at Wonderful Nature Village in Akiruno, Tokyo!
Actually, I took on a bit of a greedy route that day — a “hydrangea hopping” trip, starting from Minamisawa Ajisai Mountain!
There was even a special double ticket deal — and it turned out to be the perfect choice! This place? Totally in bloom!!

Lost Already!? Where’s the Entrance Again?
I paid the entrance fee, ready to charge in… or so I thought!
I got totally drawn toward the dog run and ended up kinda lost—couldn’t even find the entrance! 😂
👉 Follow the arrows for the hydrangea viewing route!
Alongside a sign that read, “The hydrangea garden has slopes,” there was a whole bunch of bamboo walking sticks—free to use!
Super helpful!
Like they’re saying, “Worried about the climb? Don’t be—take a stick!” Total kindness overload! 💖
Photo-Op Alert! Colorful Planters & Pup Photo Spots
First to greet you is a colorful display of potted flower arrangements.
It was impossible not to snap a photo!
They’ve even got special photo spots for pups!
Flowers × Dogs = Instant Instagram Gold!
If you’re visiting with your pup, make sure to snap some cute shots!
Off to the Annabelle Snow Mountain… Wait, Why Is It So Hot!?
The path kept going… and going… and going. Is this a full-on mountain hike or what!?
At the top, I finally reached the Annabelle “Snow Mountain” area!
They weren’t quite in full bloom yet, but the rows of white, ball-shaped blossoms were still absolutely stunning.
Buuut… turns out it was a blazing hot day!🌞
I came expecting a cool “snow mountain” vibe… but ended up on a legit sweaty uphill hike.
“Annabelle Snow Mountain? More like hot yoga on a hill!” I joked as I finally reached the top. 😅
But the view from the top? Totally worth it.
At the top, I was treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the town below!
Catching glimpses of the view through the hydrangeas, I couldn’t help but say, “Totally worth the climb.”
With my energy back…
I placed the hat I bought at the Baaba Shop on a hydrangea — just for fun!
Heading back down was quick and easy.
I couldn’t help but laugh — why are my legs suddenly so full of energy on the way down!? 😆
Time to reset with pizza and iced coffee 🍕❄️
After the hike, it was finally time for the long-awaited AZEKIRI!
It’s a cozy spot where you can enjoy wood-fired pizzas and refreshing drinks.
Dogs are welcome!
The iced coffee I ordered came out in what looked like a beer mug—huge!
And it was seriously good. Totally brought me back to life!
And the pizza? Piping hot, with that perfect cheesy stretch — you know the kind!
I seriously couldn’t stop eating — it was that good! 😂
Hydrangea “flower basin”? Looks like they're getting it ready for the weekend! ♪
In the plaza, they were setting up decorations that looked like floral water basins.
It was nice to enjoy the calm before the busy weekend crowd — visiting on a weekday is definitely a win!
The hydrangea flower basins weren’t quite finished yet, but they still gave off a refreshing vibe — totally lifted my spirits!
