We revisited Ayashi Shrine (Kokubun Ichinomiya Suwa Shrine) in Aoba Ward, Sendai. During the second year of our personal wish-making routine, we explored the main shrine, the Peace Bell, and several spiritual spots deeper in the grounds, including Kanhebi Suijin Shrine, Inari Shrine, and Hebi Shrine. Surrounded by peaceful countryside scenery, this hidden shrine is a relaxing escape from central Sendai.

We visited Daiyuzan Saijoji Temple in Minamiashigara, Kanagawa Prefecture. Highlights include the world’s largest giant geta sandals, Senshin Falls, legends of tengu, and the inner sanctuary reached by climbing 354 stone steps. This report follows our visit through the temple’s lush grounds while enjoying its many spiritual power spots.

We visited the Hydrangea Festival in Kaisei Town, Kanagawa Prefecture. Strolling through the countryside, we enjoyed rain-kissed hydrangeas, peaceful rural scenery, and colorful flowers lining the waterways.
