A Relaxing Stay at Susobana Gorge Onsen Uruoikan! Refresh After the Togakushi Five Shrines Pilgrimage♪

Spa

Hello, fellow travel lovers!

This time, I’m sharing my wonderful experience at Susobana Gorge Onsen Uruoikan.

The best part was definitely the riverside, 100% natural hot spring fed directly from the source!

After getting exhausted from the Togakushi Five Shrines Pilgrimage, the hot springs worked wonders to fully rejuvenate my tired body.

The 100% natural hot spring was so comfortable, I could have stayed in it forever♪

The temperature and quality of the hot spring were just perfect for us, making us want to stay in it forever.

My tired muscles were completely relaxed, and it truly felt like being "reborn"!

After the Five Shrines Pilgrimage, this hot spring was a true lifesaver (laughs).

Dinner was all about "quality over quantity"! A feast for both the eyes and the taste buds with the flavors of Shinshu.

Dinner was a special seasonal course featuring plenty of local Shinshu ingredients.

The focus was on quality over quantity, and that was definitely the right choice!

Each dish was crafted with great care, making it a delight for both the eyes and the palate.

That being said, I still ate plenty and left feeling fully satisfied.

And of course, I had to try the local sake tasting! That’s something you just can’t skip (laughs).

s someone who loves dry sake, Tenryou Homare was the perfect match for me.

Its clean and crisp flavor paired perfectly with the dishes!

But I held off on refills and savored it slowly (laughs).

A space filled with hospitality and beautiful flowers.

As soon as I stepped off the elevator towards my room, there was a small garden complete with a shishi-odoshi!

And beautifully arranged flowers welcomed us as well.

These small touches truly made me feel the essence of "omotenashi" (Japanese hospitality).

I was able to enjoy a relaxed meal in my room, making it a truly peaceful experience.

Breakfast started with bright smiles all around!

Breakfast was served in the restaurant, and the staff’s smiles were absolutely wonderful!

They quickly responded to requests for seconds, and I really felt the attentive service.

They even took a commemorative photo for us, making it a great way to start the day on a high note.

In Summary: Susobana Gorge Onsen Uruoikan – I want to come back!

It was the perfect place to heal our tired bodies after the Five Shrines Pilgrimage.

The hot spring, along with the food and service, were outstanding.

I scored some great souvenirs too! The apple jam was absolutely delicious♪

And let’s not forget the souvenir shopping!

I made sure to take full advantage of the 10% off coupon for souvenirs in the shop (laughs).

The apple jam, in particular, was absolutely amazing!

Made with locally grown Shinshu apples, it was fresh and not overly sweet.

It’s perfect as a souvenir or for yourself.

Be sure to check out this inn when you visit Shinshu!

The journey continues... Wishing you all a wonderful trip! – TabiJun
