This time, I visited Tokorozawa Shrine, quietly nestled in a residential area of Saitama. 🌸
Full-bloom cherry blossoms lining the path, a smiling dragon in the flower-filled water basin, and travel safety blessings—perfect for any traveler. 🌸🐉✈️
It was a heartwarming visit—perfect for a springtime shrine adventure. 🌸⛩️
Sacred Trees, a Wooden Torii, and a Hint of Spring Beyond
A wooden torii gate standing quietly in a peaceful neighborhood.
In front of it stands a majestic zelkova tree, its strong roots telling the story of the shrine’s long history. 🌳
Walking through the torii and looking up the stairs, I spotted cherry blossoms swaying in the spring breeze—totally stopped me in my tracks with a quiet “Wow…” 🌸
Through the Cherry Blossom Tunnel to the Main Shrine
A short walk past the torii, and soft cherry blossoms come into view on both sides of the stone steps. 🌸
It felt like walking through a cherry blossom tunnel—like being welcomed by a floral arch.
Looking up, the cherry branches were so full they almost covered the sky, with the main shrine peeking through beyond them.
The shrine grounds were clean and open, and the air felt incredibly fresh.
I couldn’t stop taking deep breaths (not out of breath—just loving the air!).

Around the dragon’s mouth, colorful seasonal flowers are gently arranged—just looking at it is soothing.
Rhododendrons in Full Spring Bloom
It wasn’t just cherry blossoms—rhododendrons were also blooming beautifully around the shrine. 🌺
Pink and red flowers brightened up the grounds—springtime shrines really are something special.
A Traveler’s Blessing for Safe Journeys
Tokorozawa Shrine is also known for its blessings of traffic and travel safety!
A must-see for travel lovers like me!
