Hello, fellow travel lovers!
This time, I visited Sasuke Inari Shrine, one of Kamakura's power spots.
This shrine is associated with Minamoto no Yoritomo, and according to legend, the Inari deity appeared in his dream, urging him to "Defeat the Heike clan!
A pathway lined with red torii gates!
The defining feature of Sasuke Inari Shrine is, without a doubt, the path lined with red torii gates. As you pass through them, you climb the slope up to the main hall. The white statues you see beneath the gates? Yep, those are the foxes, or Inari-san!
This shrine is famous for bringing success and good fortune, attracting many visitors who come to pray for career advancement and prosperity.
Every time you pass through a gate, you can’t help but chant, “Success! Good fortune!”
It’s impossible to count how many Inari statues are lined up here at this point (lol).
It was unseasonably hot, but stepping into the shade brought a cool breeze and a moment of relief.
It felt like I had stumbled into a fox concert! I could almost hear them all singing "Kon-kon!" together 🤣
Around the temple as well... Foxes, foxes, foxes everywhere! Success! Good fortune! I made sure to pray properly! 🙏
If you’re wishing for success, this is the place to be!
So, if you’re looking to boost your luck and success, be sure to visit Sasuke Inari Shrine!
Just thinking about how many people have achieved their dreams here is enough to get me excited!
The journey continues... Wishing you all a wonderful trip! – TabiJun
