Hello, fellow travel lovers!
This time, I headed straight to Dengakudokoro Murase, which was highly praised on the show “Kaere Monday.”
If you come to Gifu Park, be sure to check it out!
Tucked away inside the park
The shop sits within the grounds of Gifu Park. Its charming, traditional building suddenly comes into view, and my expectations instantly shot up.
“This is where that famous miso oden is…!” My excitement was through the roof.
First up: my very first miso oden
I spotted the oden waiting in the pot. At this stage, there was no miso yet—just plain oden, so to speak.
Then came the rich miso—bam!
By the looks of it, it wasn’t even oden anymore—it was a whole different dish (lol).
Dango and tofu—everything’s got miso!
Next up, I thought it was mitarashi dango… but nope, this one was miso-flavored too!
It was so obsessed with miso that I couldn’t help but laugh.
Before I knew it, I had already eaten one skewer before taking a photo (lol).
Then came the “tofu dengaku” as well.
This, of course, was also loaded with that sweet and savory miso sauce.
I also spotted some vegetable rice balls!
They were stacked high and looked delicious. I didn’t buy any, but they seemed like the perfect ally for hikers heading up Mount Kinka!
To be honest…
On TV, the miso series was showered with praise. But for me, since I’m not so familiar with it, it felt less like “Delicious!” and more like “Interesting…”—a kind of gourmet experience.
Still, I definitely enjoyed the sense of accomplishment from completing the mission!
With my stomach satisfied, it was time to hop on the ropeway and head up to Gifu Castle.
The journey continues... Wishing you all a wonderful trip! – TabiJun
