Hello, fellow travel lovers!
This time, I visited Sea Cuisine, Mountain Cuisine Marukiyo, a restaurant known for its dedication to natural kue fish.
The kue served here is an impressive 30 kilograms!
On the other hand, farmed kue weighs only around 2-3 kilograms, making both the size and taste completely different.
By the way, the restaurant's website proudly features a photo of the owner holding a huge kue with a confident grin, and there's even a jaw-dropping "Kue Disassembly Show" video! Definitely worth a watch.
And with that, it's time to enjoy the kue feast course I had reserved!
But honestly... I pretty much forgot to take photos of the dishes (oops, my bad!).
Every time a dish arrived, I got so caught up in thinking "Wow, this looks delicious!" that I completely forgot about the photos.
As for the taste... well, it’s incredibly mild. No strong flavors, easy to eat, but honestly, it was so subtle that I kept asking myself, "Wait, what does this taste like?"
The seasoning itself was really well done! But I just couldn’t get that "Oh, this is the taste of kue!" moment, and in the end, I was left thinking, "Do I even know if this was good or not?" (laughs).
The sake, however, was absolutely delicious! That’s one thing I can say with certainty (laughs).
What really surprised me was that, despite it being a rainy weekday night, the place was completely full! As expected from such a popular restaurant. If you're planning to go, be sure to make a reservation!
The journey continues... Wishing you all a wonderful trip! – TabiJun
