A Relaxing Day with Pandas and Animals at Adventure World

Wakayama

Hello, fellow travel lovers!

This time, I visited Adventure World in Wakayama!

This is a theme park that combines a zoo, an aquarium, and an amusement park all in one!

The weather was perfect with clear skies! But, oh boy, the wind was freezing cold! It felt like my ears were about to fall off! It was so cold that walking outside was tough!

The Adorable Animal Parade

But there were so many adorable animals that they blew away the freezing wind!

First up was the fun animal parade that made me forget the cold! The animals were full of energy, and the trainers performed with big smiles. I couldn't help but smile, too!

The cold had me a bit frozen, but the parade really warmed me up (haha)!

I took refuge in the wind-free indoor aquarium area.

At the aquarium, a fluffy baby penguin made its appearance! It waddled around and stared right at me with its chubby little body.

"When it comes to Adventure World, it’s all about the pandas! 🐼

At Ueno Zoo, you watch pandas through glass, but at Adventure World, you can see them much closer.

Even in the chilly outdoor wind, the pandas were happily munching on bamboo. 🐼

Indoors, the pandas were calmly enjoying their bamboo. 🐼

And then there’s the panda that just doesn’t move at all. 🐼 (haha)

Here’s a panda you can actually eat!

There are so many cute dishes, like 'Panda Rice Balls' and 'Ramen with Panda-shaped Kamaboko,' that they're almost too adorable to eat!

Here’s a panda enjoying a snack! 🐼

During the Panda Backstage Tour I joined in 2018, I actually got to feed them a snack! I even dug up some photos from that time.

Effortlessly Exploring the Safari Area! Your Trusty Companion, the Kenya Bus

But the cold that day was just too harsh to walk around outside... so I hopped on the 'Kenya Bus' instead!

The Kenya Bus is a train that takes you on a 25-minute tour around Safari World, showcasing both herbivores and carnivores—and it's free! It was great to be able to comfortably see the animals, even in the cold.

In the herbivore area, zebras and giraffes were leisurely spending their time, and seeing the animals so relaxed was truly soothing.

And when we entered the carnivore area... there was a White Tiger, leisurely relaxing! Unlike the herbivores, its calm demeanor had an air of majesty.

Summary

At Adventure World, you can have lots of close encounters with animals, enjoy shows and attractions, and find plenty of souvenirs. It's a place where you can have fun all day without worrying about the cold. Next time, though, I'd love to visit in a warmer season... (haha).

The journey continues... Wishing you all a wonderful trip! – TabiJun
