What’s at Fukaya Green Kingdom? A relaxed spring stroll report!

Saitama

Hello, fellow travel lovers!

This time, I visited Fukaya Green Kingdom in Fukaya City, Saitama.

“What’s in bloom here?” Honestly, that’s what I went to find out…

Result: I wasn’t really sure—but I still had a great time.

🌿 What makes this spot special (a relaxed experience)

As soon as you enter, it’s all about greenery. And then, flowers here and there.

Not a dramatic “wow” view—more of a slow, soothing kind of place.

First, I followed the signs toward the Flora Garden area.

Irises, a pond, and blue sky—this part felt like a little reward.

Arrived at Kingdom Plaza. It’s wide and very open.

・Found a kids’ house (a paradise for children)

・Rest areas available (a paradise for adults)

・A forest public hall? (mysteriously comforting)

A guardian of the hall? A neatly trimmed bear topiary. Why here?

A birdhouse exhibition—like custom-built homes for birds.

Walk a bit further and you reach the sunken garden. Suddenly it feels a bit European.

The rose garden—probably at its best next month. For now, it’s all about enjoying the greenery.

At the water area, there were “medaka-like” fish swimming much faster than actual medaka.

A series of little “What’s this?” moments made it a fun and never-boring walk.

🌸 So, what was in season?

I visited in late April, and honestly…

There wasn’t a clear “main attraction” flower.

But on the flip side:
✔ Various flowers blooming little by little
✔ Not crowded, very peaceful
✔ Easy to walk around freely

Result: super आराम and easygoing

🌿 Surprisingly impressive: volunteer-run

What surprised me was that this place is mainly operated and maintained by local citizen volunteers.

That’s why you get:

✔ Handcrafted-style flower beds
✔ A warm, welcoming atmosphere
✔ A calm, comforting vibe

That slightly “imperfect” feeling is actually what makes it relaxing.

🌿 A little treat

At the spacious shop inside the park, I couldn’t resist buying:

“Fubuki no Matsu” (sounds strong, looks adorable)

A red hydrangea (rare and an instant decision)

Total impulse purchase—travel mood at its finest.

✨ Quick tips

Perfect for a slow, relaxing walk
Great for families with kids
Fun little surprises pop up everywhere
If you like plants, be careful at the shop⚠️

😂 Final thoughts

Saying “I’m not sure what was in season” might sound underwhelming…But honestly, that’s the charm.

Just walking around and somehow having a good time—that might be the best kind of trip.

The journey continues... Wishing you all a wonderful trip!
