Shibutagawa Moss Phlox in Isehara | We Missed the Timing, But It Was Still Beautiful 🌸

Kanagawa

Hello, fellow travel lovers!

This time, I visited the spring spot in Isehara, Kanagawa—Shibutagawa’s moss phlox 🌸

And guess what…
👉 I went just two days after the festival ended!

I thought, “Less crowded might be perfect!”… and it turned into quite an interesting visit 🤣

What Shibutagawa’s Moss Phlox Is Like

A stretch of pink moss phlox along the river🌸
…but

honestly
👉 it might look better in photos than in real life 🤣

Still、
in some spots, it was fully in bloom and absolutely worth seeing✨

These flowers are carefully maintained by local volunteers, which makes the scenery even more special🌸

Parking Situation

According to the official website, during peak bloom season there are several temporary parking areas nearby.

However, since I visited after the festival, there were no signs at all…

👉 I ended up asking at a nearby vegetable greenhouse

And they kindly said,
👉 “Go ahead and park here!”

That local kindness really made my day🥹

How Long to Stay?

Both sides of the river have walking paths, so it’s easy to stroll from either side👍

A quick walk later…
👉 I had already finished the round trip 🤣

About 15 minutes total (not exaggerating!)

But that’s exactly why it’s great
👉 a perfect quick stop during a drive

The Real Highlight…

At the vegetable stand, I found something shocking…

👉 5 fresh leeks for just 100 yen‼️

I literally froze for a second 😳

Honestly, more memorable than the flowers 😂

Quick Tips

This time, I took a relaxed stroll along the moss phlox at Shibutagawa in Isehara 🌸

Even after the festival, some areas were still at their peak, making it an easy and enjoyable spring spot ✨

And the biggest surprise…
👉 5 leeks for just 100 yen 🤣

Next, I’m heading just 5 minutes by car to Kashiwagi Farm 🚗
The real goal? Soft-serve ice cream and hamburg steak 🍦✨
👉 I’ll share that in a separate post!

After that, I also stopped by Kana Garden 🌷
It turned out even better than expected…!
👉 I’ll cover that in another article 👍

Moss phlox → farm → garden

The journey continues... Wishing you all a wonderful trip!
